The groups of the Executive Committee of the Quality and Academic Accreditation Preliminary Self-Evaluation Project were launched by the beginning of the week. Rector Sa'eed Al Omar inaugurated the project at the beginning of Safar 1436H. Vice- Rector of Academic Affairs Khalid AbdulMuhsin Boreqa chaired the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Quality and Accreditation Preliminary Self-Evaluation Project on Monday 16 /2/1436, with Dr. Yousef Mohammed Alnusair , Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Quality and Accreditation Preliminary Self-Evaluation Project, attending as well as leaders of the groups who are also members of the Executive Committee.
Dr. Alnusair reviewed the tasks to be implemented in each stage independently, pointing out that wrapping up all stages will lead to the completion of the project. Dr. Alnusair explained that it is absolutely vital to respect deadlines and to document subgroups work so as to use such documentations in the process of inspection and internal project review.
Dr. Boreqa stressed the importance of coordination amongst groups, working along the suggested timetable, and periodic review of the achievements of each stage before accepting them as inputs of the next stage. He also pointed out that Rector Sa'eed Al Omar is seriously concerned about quality and academic accreditation at the Northern Borders University because it has such a great role in the implementation of the Quality and Accreditation Preliminary Self-Evaluation Project which is taking place simultaneously with the implementation of the university's strategic plan of Quality and Academic Accreditation.
