The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at the Northern Border University (NBU) started in 1432 A.H. with the purpose of providing higher education that meets the demands of the area and the labor market for the specialized qualified expertise in all the spheres of human knowledge. Hence, the first department of the postgraduates at the Faculty of Education and Arts was opened in Arabic Language Department. Further postgraduate programs at the various faculty departments are underway, so that they could serve the community, and achieve the sought-after objectives of development in the area.
The deanship is aiming to achieve scientific distinction in higher education, and to communicate with the different deanships and postgraduate faculties in the domestic and international universities. This is in pursuit of exchanging knowledge and acquiring experience for progress and distinction.

Launching the MA program in Arabic Language Department in the literature and linguistic courses for both male and female students.
