His Excellency, the Rector, sponsors the activities of the Traffic Program carried out by the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies entitled “Road Safety Campaign”

In order to strengthen the cooperation between the university and the various sectors in the region, as well as to implement the plan prepared by the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies, the Student Counseling Unit in cooperation with the Traffic Department in Northern Border Province launched a campaign entitled “Road Safety Campaign” on Tuesday  28/1/1437 under the patronage of the Rector accompanied with the deans of the faculties, deputy deans, faculty staff members, and a number of Preparatory Year students in addition to Mr. Mushabib Muhammad Al-Qahtani, the Director of the Traffic Department at Northern Border Province. The campaign started with the opening of the exhibition, which included awareness boards regarding the prevention of traffic accidents, in addition to brochures and posters revealing the damage these accidents cause. After opening the exhibition, the attendants moved to the Auditorium of the Education College. The Director of the Traffic Department delivered a lecture about types and causes of accidents and the damage they cause, warning of the dangers of reckless speed. He added that most of the accidents are caused by young people and many of them die because of these accidents.  He revealed the enormous number of deaths and injuries in the country every year because of car accidents. He also called for the need for compliance of proper driving and following the instructions and regulations. Finally, he answered many questions asked by students.

Mr. Mushabib Muhammad Al-Qahtani thanked the Rector, the deans, students and all attendants for their interest and interaction. Furthermore, he appreciated the Deanship for its significant role for raising awareness among students.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Moqbil Salem Alenazi, the Dean of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies, thanked the Director of Traffic Department in Northern Border Province for his presence and the lecture he delivered which benefited the students who are the most important group of the society. He added that such awareness programs and lectures reflect the deep concern of the Traffic Department at Northern Border Province to spread traffic awareness among all members of society.

The meeting was held by Dr. Munner Shwaiter, the Head of Media and Public Relations Unit at the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies. The meeting was concluded by taking some memorable photos.
