​His Excellency, the Rector of the university, patronizes the closure of the Football League Events- Preparatory Year Cup.

Under his patronage the President of the University, Prof.  Dr. Saeed bin Omar Al Omar; the 3rd Annual Preparatory Year Football Cup came to its close at Arar’s male campus on Tuesday morning, 28-1-1436H on the university playground, with a direct supervision from His Excellency, the dean of the Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies, Dr. Moqbil bin Salem Al- Enazi, with the attendance of His Excellency, the university Rector Prof. Ibrahim Ibn Hasan Al- Zahrani, His Excellency the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Jasser Ibn Jreed Al- Enazi, His Excellency the Manager of the Traffic Department in the Northern Border Province, Lieutenant Colonel Shabib Ibn Mohammad Al-Qahtani, Heads of Departments, Faculties staff and a crowd of students.

The final match was between Al-Laith Al-Abyad and Al-Blooz . The original time ended 1-1 for each, so penalties were the resort, and that ended 4-4 for Al-Laith.

His Excellency the president honored Al-Blooz, which came in second with silver medals, and the champion of the competition, Al-Laith Al-Abyad with the golden medals. His Excellency handed the best player’s cup to the student Abulaziz Nayef Al-Mijlad and the best goalkeeper cup to the student Mishari Farhan Al-Inizi. After that, His Excellency crowned Al-Laith Al-Abyad with the cup of the competition.

It is worthy to say that the Football League Events were held in all the university campuses ( Arar male, Rafha male and Turaif male). The number of participant students in Arar male campus was 249 students from the preparatory year divided into 18 teams. The league events took place daily through a month. The number of participants in Rafha campus was 60 students divided into 7 teams, and the number of participants in Turaif campus was 44 students divided into 5 teams where the events in Rafha and Turaif lasted for one week daily played.

The students showed their satisfaction towards these events and this honoring which gives them a push forward for more giving and creation.
