The closing ceremony of the preparatory year students' activities for the year 1435/1434 AH

The Rector of the University Prof. (Dr.) Said bin Omar Al Omar graced the occasion at the closing ceremony of students' activities for the academic year 1435/1434 held at the Deanship of Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies, at Faculty of Arts and Education Theater, on Thursday morning 09/07/1435 AH.            

The ceremony took off with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran followed by speech by the Dean Dr. Mogbil Bin Salem Al-Anzi, who thanked the Rector for his gracious presence on this occasion and for his continued support for students' activities, pointing out that the students of the Preparatory Year have this year 91 students' activities lined up at all three campuses of the university – Arar, Rafha and Tureif, to be held by the Unit of Students' Activities; activities like, sports and cultural competitions, field trips, lectures, seminars, workshops and awareness campaigns for community service. The Dean praised the role of the Students' Affairs Unit at the University, which collaborated with the Deanship and encouraged the students to engage in extracurricular activities that highlight different aspects of excellence and creativity among students and occupy their spare time. 

Following that, a student Yusuf bin Talal al-Shammari presented the vote of thanks on behalf of his fellow students explaining the meaning of thanks and gratitude. He thanked the Rector for his generous support for students' welfare programs; he also thanked the dean and the deputy dean. 

Then, a team of students from the Preparatory Year presented an opera on the stage, which was applauded by the audience. Following this there was a documentary on students' activities, including sports activities, such as, the establishment of the Preparatory Year Cup for football, table tennis, a visit to the Arar Museum, public library, blood donation campaigns, cultural and educational contests, memorization of the Koran, drawing a caricature, the cycle photoshop, photography contest, lectures on scientific research, workshops on Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, and many others activities.
